If you haven’t heard, President Obama is throwing a music festival next month…but how do you get in?
According to the White House, no. 44 was inspired to hold South By South Lawn (SXSL) after traveling to SXSW in Austin, Texas where he got to immerse himself in a conversation on civic engagement that asked “creative thinkers and entrepreneurs from across the country to help tackle our toughest challenges.”
His festival, happening on October 3, will bring together film, music and interactive elements in the hopes of bringing together creators, innovators, and organizers "who work day in and day out to improve the lives of their fellow Americans and people around the world."
The lineup has not been announced, but its supposed to include “well-known and emerging artists who are using their music to inspire audiences.”
So where’s the ticket link? There isn’t one. You better be nice with words because Obama is asking you to visit him online and nominate someone (or yourself if you’re selfish) to attend. You’ll have to give some compelling reasons, and the deadline is on September 10 at 5 p.m.
