Captured in a wide outdoor shot in a park, the four band members—Mila de la Garza, Eloise Wong, Bela Salazar, and Lucia de la Garza—pose seated on and around a wooden picnic table on a grassy lawn surrounded by leafy green trees under bright daylight. The members wear colorful casual attire, including a white top with light pants, a black sweater, a bright blue shirt with dark blue trousers, and a blue tank top with plaid shorts as they look forward at the camera.

Touring in support of a third studio LP, The Linda Lindas are sort of elders in the indie-punk scene.

Still, the Los Angeles quartet—Eloise Wong, Lucia de la Garza, Mila de la Garza, and Bela Salazar—continues to tread new ground. Gotta Get Out is the band’s first album on a major label (Reprise/Warner Records), features a collaboration with Hayley Williams, and finds the group on track to own its masters in 12 years.

On the album released last August, The Linda Lindas expand the band’s sound with dips into go-go pop, ’80s sounds and even trash.

The new LP’s title couldn’t be more apropos this week either, since early voting kicked off on Monday.

“Voting is for all of us—every voice counts, every vote counts, every election counts,” de la Garza told a crowd in Georgia last week, “even if it’s not the big one.” The Rat Utopia Experiment, a “circus rock” band from the Pacific Northwest, opens the show.

Tickets to see The Linda Lindas and The Rat Utopia Experiment at Orpheum in Tampa on Sunday, Oct. 25 are still available and start at $39.52.
