10/100/1000 Update: Shakespeare, Sweetwater, Friendship Trail Bridge proposals and more — vote now or submit your own great ideas for Tampa Bay

We're less than two weeks into the 10/100/1000 Challenge, a collaborative project of Creative Loafing and Creative Tampa Bay. On Jan. 13, we launched a 100-day search for great ideas to make Tampa Bay a better place to live, which will culminate in the announcement of the Top 10 ideas and the $1,000 winner in April. You can read and vote on the proposals, and submit your own great ideas, at cltampa.com/ten100.

One of the Top 10 will be selected by reader vote. We're already seeing a groundswell of support for proposals to save the Friendship Trail Bridge and educate children in companion animal care. There's strong voter turnout, too, for the Code Green Community, and for The Giving Patch, a project to provide organic community gardens for families in need.

There's also interest in Eat Share Learn, a series of dinner parties celebrating the diversity of Tampa Bay, and in the establishment of a local independent children's book & toy shop in Downtown St. Pete called Cheeky Monkeys Books & Toys.
