On Friday, March 14, Downtown Live After Five — the monthly outdoor happy hour (5-8 p.m.) sponsored by the Tampa Downtown Partnership — moves to North Franklin Street between Fortune and Royal Streets near Fly Bar to raise awareness of the neighborhood. Inside the Arlington, a restored historic building that now houses office and residential condos, an empty storefront owned by architect Stephanie Ferrell will be transformed into a gallery showcasing contemporary art for one night only. One Night Stand
takes a sophisticated approach to pairing art with economic development. Tampa artist collective Experimental Skeleton will work collaboratively to create a window installation while an array of works by Shawn Cheatham, Shane Hoffman, Carlos Camargo, Tomas Marais, April Childers and others — curated by Manny Lopez — will fill out the space. As a special treat, up-and-coming New York artist Leah Tinari joins the group. Don't miss it!
