It’s been 10 years since a massively pregnant Ali Wong made her Netflix standup special debut with iconic lines about not wanting to work. She’s selling t-shirts with the line, “I don’t want to lean in, I want to lie down”—and she’s still working pretty damn hard.

The Emmy-winning comedian, actress, writer and producer is bringing her signature unfiltered humor to Duke Energy Center for the Arts Mahaffey Theater for a nearly sold-out weekend of stand-up.

Known for her hit Netflix specials “Baby Cobra,” “Hard Knock Wife,” “Don Wong” and “Ali Wong: Single Lady,” Wong has built a reputation for turning relationships, motherhood and her Asian American identity into comedy that’s witty, honest and lovably disgusting.

Wong also starred in the 2019 rom-com “Always Be My Maybe” and most recently led the Netflix and A24 series “Beef,” which earned eight Emmys. Wong took home major honors, including an Emmy and a Golden Globe, for her performance.

Now, she’s bringing that same energy back to the stage.

Saturday’s show has limited tickets remaining, while the Sunday performance is already sold out.

Tickets start at $87.70 for Ali Wong Live on Saturday, April 4 in St. Petersburg.
