Creative Loafing’s inaugural Oscar contest was simple: Pick the winners in six top categories and tell us what time the show would end. Dozens of you took a shot, with 13 entrants nailing all six categories correctly. After we sorted out the tiebreaker (the show ended at 11:56 p.m., with the credits rolling until 11:59 p.m.), the only person left standing was Bay area resident Debbie Tozier.

When asked via e-mail how she came by her amazing Oscar prognostication skills, Debbie replied: “I guess a did a little research by reading Oscar articles in Creative Loafing and the St. Pete Times, and I had seen several of the movies and felt pretty strongly about some of my choices.”
