“Dream Momma, In my dream I'm in my car tearing up a country road, the wheels of my car are hanging off the edge of this very steep cliff. I see the road racing before me leading me higher and higher up the side of this goofy looking mountain shaped like The Cat in the Hat's hat. I see a faint red dot up higher on the mountain and when I'm not trying to keep the car from flying off the edge of the cliff I look harder and see it's the tail light of a really sweet Harley Davidson. Suddenly there are thousands of Hogs surrounding the car, trying to force me off the road. I'm really scared now, sweat pouring off me. I can't see the faces of the bikers but I know somehow they are all laughing at me. I see them giving each other the high sign as they speed back and forth in front of my car. I'm gripping the wheel now, my foot frozen to the gas pedal. Some of the bikes go off the road but instead of crashing down the mountain they begin to fly. Now I've got these fu———g bikes on top of the car too and I know there's no place to hide or no place to go. I let up on the gas pedal and take my hands off the wheel. The car slows down and begins to drift over the cliff, gliding smoothly towards the water below. As I descend towards the water it turns bright gold and begins to boil. I feel floaty, detached, as if I'm not in the car and not going to die. Suddenly, I wake up.  Don’t get it but want to.”

This is an incredibly visual dream and Dream Momma is glad you sent it in. As you suspected it’s very powerful and revealing.  Dream Momma feels the dream is a warning dream through addressing your life situation. She wonders if you have a lot going for you and are in the wrong “tribe”.  After all here you are in a car (not on a bike) and moving up in life. There’s a spiritual element to this (the mountain) but your hold on this aspect of your life is tenuous. Hmmm.

The bikers are your tribe/family and they are doing everything they can to thwart your progress. Make no mistake, this is about your progress as a person, a unique, individual person who already has a leg up on your peer group (car vs. bike) but doesn’t protect himself.  You see the really interesting part of this warning dream (did I mention earlier it’s a warning dream?) is what your dream persona does next.  The thing that indicates how helpless you feel about this. You see no escape so you slow down and give up.  What’s up with that? The high price you pay for this “surrender” is your true Self. In the dream you create a false, detached persona to cope.  One that is apparently “safe” but of course that is the true illusion (The gods must be laughing).  This is not good.

So, you ask now. What am I to do? Here’s the answer. You are to sit down and write this dream exactly as you wrote it to me but give it a different ending. Dream Momma wants you to do this every day for thirty days (Don’t roll your eyes. Aren’t you worth it?). As the same time she is giving you the “No” assignment for the same length of time. That means you are to say an arbitrary “no” three times a day. (YES! You are worth that too). So get moving, do your psychological homework and let Dream Momma know how you’re doing. She values you.
