Chicago-born actor, writer and comedian John Mulaney first rose to fame as a writer on “Saturday Night Live” back in 2008, and since then has hosted the popular late-night show five times (becoming part of its prized Five Timers Club), released a few Emmy-nominated stand-up specials, co-starred in a Broadway play and even snagged an appearance on the uber-popular Hulu show “The Bear.”

Mulaney hits the road doing stand-up pretty often, but rarely makes his way down to Florida, where he’ll soon showcase material from his latest special “J Baby.” Esquire Magazine compared “J Baby” to Richard Pryor’s 1983 special “Live on the Sunset Strip,” because both performances tackle the somewhat-taboo topic of drug addiction and relapse in witty, yet endearing ways.

While the original wave of tickets to Mulaney’s Tampa gig—happening on Thursday, Dec. 14 at the Hard Rock Event Center (5223 Orient Rd.)— quickly sold-out, there are still a few resale tickets available starting at about $120 each.
