There was every kind of character to costume in freeFall’s Cabaret this season: the Emcee and gender-bending dancers of the Weimar-era Kit Kat Klub, a careful young American novelist, his German landlady, her Jewish lover, the uncageable Sally Bowles, an irrepressible prostitute, and several more. Thanks to Mike and Kathy Buck, the costumes we saw on these life-loving personages brought early 1930s Berlin to St. Pete’s Central Avenue with total persuasiveness. Thanks for the professionalism.
