Do you love the beach? Uh, let’s hope so (otherwise, you may be living in the wrong part of Florida). Come celebrate it — and learn how you can help protect all of Florida’s beaches at this panel and reception. Local and state beach pros (those are experts in the field, not professional beach bunnies, you guys) will talk about the best ways to keep the beaches beautiful and healthy.
The star of the evening? The 2018 Coastal Cleanup Report. The panel will discuss the findings; panelists include J.P. Brooker, Policy Counsel, Ocean Conservancy; Elizabeth Fetherston-Resch, Director, Florida RESTORE Act Centers of Excellence, Florida Institute of Oceanography, University of South Florida; and Andy Hayslip, Executive Director, Tampa Bay Waterkeeper. Panel moderated by Tampa Bay Times’ editor of editorials, Tim Nickens.
