Dare to come out from under a grocery cart’s wheel and watch as three lifelong carnivores take one for the herd and become vegan during the award-winning documentary Vegucated.
Vegucated invites viewers on an illuminating journey, far beyond pre-made and prepackaged meals as three courageous bacon-lovers share in one common pro-plant adventure ultimately ending in the discovery of their own paths in creating a kinder, cleaner, greener world-one forkful at a time.
The film follows the timely story of Ellen, Brian, and Tesla, three meat and cheese connoisseurs from different backgrounds who accept a challenge to abandon all animal products for six weeks in an effort to lose weight, look good, and feel healthy. They are shaken to discover that so much more than steak is at stake and that the fate of the world may fall on their plates. As they begin to uncover the hidden sides of animal agriculture, they soon start to wonder whether solutions offered in films like Food, Inc. go far enough. Before long, they find themselves risking everything to expose an industry they supported just weeks before.
The DVD is currently available for pre-order at the Vegucated website getvegucated.com/store/ and will be released on Mon., Jan. 9 in honor of meatless Monday.
