Amulet Tattoos is hosting its fifth annual ‘Dog Daze of Summer” flash tattoo party on Saturday, July 27 — an all-day extravaganza that starts at Amulet Tattoo at 1pm. The famed tattoo parlor on 1st Avenue North is featuring exclusive flash tattoos (much of them summer-themed), and is even flying guest artists to St. Petersburg for this summer tattoo bash. The flash sheets and tattoo prices can only be viewed at the party itself.
Even someone uninterested in getting tattooed by one of Amulet’s many artists should be interested in stopping by this summer party to grab a vegan hot dog from the ever-so-popular Nah Dogs stand (before they sell out).
Other local vendors that will also be set up outside Amulet Tattoo include St. Petersburg favorites Retrograde Goods, Largo’s Westside Skateshop, Pirata Pop Up, WovePrint.co and True Vintage Eyewear.
The party starts at Amulet Tattoo at 1 p.m., and its next-door neighbor The Bends will keep the party going all night, with special tiki-inspired cocktails to adhere to the theme. During the day, Dog Daze of Summer will have Hello Darlin’ Records’ Arielle Stevenson DJing out of her 1972 yellow VW bus, with the UNFUN DJ crew taking over The Bends after night falls with their “summer bummer” jams.
The end of Dog Daze of Summer is indefinite — it could go all night. Who doesn’t love a good block party?
