Outback Steakhouse, along with several other sponsors, is pleased to offer yet another tasty treat to all Bay area golf enthusiasts.

The 2011 Outback Steakhouse Pro-Am will be hosted April 11-17 at TPC Tampa Bay in Lutz, Fla., considered to be one of the best TPC courses in the nation. The tournament is one of many stops on the official PGA TOUR's Champions Tour event.

The tournament also invites celebrities to play as well. This year, participating celebrities include: Michael J. Fox, Derrick Brooks, Emmy-award winning Craig T. Nelson, county music's Vince Gil, Family Feud host and Seinfeld personality John O'Hurley, Buccaneers' cornerback Ronde’ Barber, "NBC Dateline" cohost Stone Phillips, former wide receiver Sterling Sharpe, and former NFL quarterback Joe  Theismann.

The Champions Tour is an organization of some of the greatest golfers over the age of 50 such as Tom Lehman, Nick Price and John Cook, all of w hich will be teeing off at the Outback Steakhouse Pro-Am.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research as well as the Special Operations Warriors Foundation, a charity that funds college education for the children of fallen special operations heroes. The organization has benefitted over 850 children so far.

Free admission to practice rounds will be available on April 11 and 12. One-day passes can be purchased online now for general admission for $25 until April 10, $30 after. Weekly badges (general admission for the entire event) are currently $65 until April 10, $70 after. Special ticket packages can be purchased for one-day or full week special admision and range in price from $95 to $2,500. Some of the amenities include drink and food specials, VIP golf viewing, official Pro-Am apparel and complimentary rounds of golf at TPC Tampa Bay.

Admission for active military, guards, reserves, retirees and immediate family members is free with a military ID.

The Outback Steakhouse Pro-Am will be broadcasted on the Golf Channel Friday, April 15. It will air on NBC Sports Saturday and Sunday, April 16-17. To learn more about the event, visit the Outback Steakhouse Pro-Am website.
