If you want to do some holiday shopping while avoiding the post-Thanksgiving Day bedlam, three Pinellas art establishments open holiday shows featuring a selection of affordable artwork and handmade gifts.
Stargazing: The Arts Center Holiday Exhibition consists of an array of media — holiday-themed and otherwise — by artists who've been featured at the center over the past several years, like glass artist Chuck Boux, painter Jack Barrett, sculptors Robert Giordano and Nancy Cervenka, and ceramicist Yasuko Nakamura. Painted Fish Gallery presents Merry Fishmas Holiday Show, which includes fine arts and crafts in the holiday spirit by Ron Marvin, Sharon Bottle Souva, Cindy Cicaleo, Jack Roseman, Allynda Esquinaldo, Jason Bohnert, Mary Lou Szafraniec and several others. And the Pasco Arts Council's Holiday House and Gift Market boasts artsy stocking stuffers, fine ceramics and jewelry, instructional books for children and plenty else.
