After the huge success of the inaugural Creator Clash the highly anticipated influencer boxing event returns to Tampa with Creator Clash 2.
Last year the event sold out the University of South Florida’s 10,000 seat Yuengling Center, and pulled over 100,000 pay-per-views while raising over $1.3 million for charity, according to a press release.
For 2023, Creator Clash 2 happens next month in the 21,500-capacity Amalie Arena while a pay-per-view livestream goes down on Moment.
Tickets for Creator Clash 2 at Amalie Arena in Tampa on Saturday, April 15 start at $30.
Creator Clash was created by Ian Jomha (aka iDubbbz), his partner Anisajomha, and Mike Leanardi, in partnership with Real Good Touring. The boxing event is a first of its kind and puts a new spin on influencer boxing. Instead of money-grabbing, the event puts a positive spin on the clout chase by raising money for charity.
“The fighters have very personal connections to their individual charities, so when they’re fighting, they’re truly doing it for the people who benefit from their specific organizations. The best part is, whether our Creator Clash 2 fighters win or lose, charity always wins,” Ian Jomha told Creative Loafing Tampa Bay.
Creator Clash 2 will bring together various known entertainers from gaming, animation, tech, dancing, comedy, and sports.
iDubbbz will once again headline the show and face YouTube personality Alex Wassabi. Viewers can expect match ups between Harley Morenstein and John Hennigan, Fitz and Ididathing, Froggy Fresh and Chris Ray Gun, plus Myth and Hundar.
In addition to the main event there will be a pre-show hosted by Markiplier and Jacksepticeye. There will also be pre-fight interviews by Esfand and Amouranth, with live commentary throughout the event by actual boxer Tony Jeffries, Wade Plemons and Critical (stylized “Cr1TiKaL”).
Charities benefitting from Creator Clash 2 include Nami, Able Gamers, Kidney Fund, Nicklaus Children’s Hospital, Kids Cancer Foundation, Cure Sarcoma, American Heart Association, Alzheimer's Association, Critical Role Foundation, MS Society, and more, according to the release.
