Once a year (or multiple times depending on your access to a time machine), Doctor Who fans from all over the universe, converge in Tampa to celebrate the popular sci-fi franchise. That day is Time Lord Fest, and that day is once again coming at us at warp speed.
Time Lord Fest is a fan operated Doctor Who convention, that was voted “Best Geek Gathering” in our Best of the Bay poll in 2013. With good reason. The popular gathering of Whovians, much like the inside of the Doctor’s TARDIS, seems to get bigger every year and sells out fast. Entertainer and Who aficionado Ken Spivey is the man behind it all, and has been drawing fans to Time Lord Fest to rave reviews.
Previous events have included appearances by Doctor Who stars and creators, cosplay contests, performances by The Ken Spivey Band, literary panels and more.
The event doesn’t land here in the Bay area until October, but tickets are on sale now. If you're a devoted Who fan, or someone new to the series, it would behoove you to purchase your tickets in advance. Time Lord Fest routinely sells out.
