Dance review: Shoes at the Door Modern Dance Company’s premiere performance

A girl dressed as a lamp comes to life and enters a sleeper’s dreams.  Six dancers explore their biological clocks.  One dancer seems to be possessed by an alien.  These were some of the dances showcased at the initial performance of the Shoes at the Door Modern Dance Company.  This young company, entirely composed of women, demonstrated their creativity and talent with Imprints, a full-length performance at USF’s Theater 1 on Aug. 8.  It was a very promising debut, both for the creativity of the dances and their artful execution.
