Now, here's a moving experience: Students from The University of Tampa and the University of South Florida dance program, along with the Moving Current Dance Collective, Blake High School, Orange Grove Middle School and Forever Moving Company, will participate in the statewide Florida Waterways Dance Project on Saturday, March 5, at 4 p.m.
The collaborative initiative celebrates arts in education by uniting various Florida art institutions in simultaneous site-specific performances inspired by Florida's unique waterways.
From Miami to the Panhandle and from Tampa to Jacksonville, dancers, musicians and visual artists from 21 participating school arts programs and dance companies will join together to bring attention to the power and fragility of Floridas waterways.
UT adjunct instructor Ya-Ju Lin will perform with the UT students at St. Pete Beach at Pass-a-Grille between 10th and first streets.
Live streaming will provide audiences around the globe with the opportunity to experience Florida Waterways Dance Project by allowing viewers to choose the camera angles of preference for each performance location.
