Despite its reputation for grounded research and impartiality, the Bible may not be the accurate historical document some often consider it to be.

Ron Cooper, Ph.D., author of The Gospel of the Twin, a historical novel based on writings from Judas Didymos Thomas, suspected by historians to be Jesus’ twin brother, will talk about the differences between life during biblical times as described by the Gospels and as described by historical research, including what we actually know about Jesus.

The lecture is organized by the Center for Inquiry Tampa Bay, a nonprofit looking for “evidence-based inquiry into science, pseudoscience, medicine and health, religion, ethics, education, secularism, and society.”

Cooper will also discuss the aforementioned novel and his brand new novel, his first set in Florida, followed by a Q&A at the end.
