Dance by the light of the moon, and see why Square Ones events fly in the face of apathy and recession. Some 1,500 earthlings are expected to attend the groups next big biannual blowout, The Man on the Moon, with 75 visual artists and 100 musicians, dancers, models and performers, who in keeping with Square Ones tradition of a unifying, esoteric theme display moon-inspired works that explore history vs. fiction, referencing in particular the conspiracy theories around the lunar landing. In addition, attendees can incorporate the theme into their attire by wearing black and white. Featured artists include Angela Dickerson, Bluelucy, Bob Pomeroy, Carla Dubis, Case Max, Chad Cardoza, P$YNNER, Robert Wegmann, R.J. Runas and many others. Performances by dance collectives Bella, VYB Dance Company and Street Sauce; singer Anye Cole; bands Lovestruck Robot and Traphik (3:16), and a fashion show by designer Jorge Alvarado are all scheduled to dazzle spectators. 9 p.m. Sat., April 2, at The Ritz, 1503 E.
