Billy Corgan is the sole remaining original member of Smashing Pumpkins, and he's done so many inexplicable and just plain crazy things since the band's heyday that no fan could really be expected to look at the band the same way. Even given the fact that some of the material on SP's new free-download EP, Teargarden by Kaleidyscope (?!), isn't completely abhorrent, you must accept that this really isn't the same band that tore this very venue to beautiful pieces twice before, once in '92 and again in '93. Once you do, whether you're really interested in seeing Corgan front a cover band and play those great old songs note for note without any of the youthful abandon and familiar faces is a question only you can answer.
