Do It Today: Freebies at Glazer Children's Museum and Patel Conservatory

Got an untapped talent? Attend Patel Conservatory classes free of charge today through Sat., Feb. 5. As part of the non-profit Straz Center for the Performing Arts, the Patel Conservatory offers classes for children and adults of all experience levels in all kinds of dance, music and theater. All classes in theater, music and dance will be available for either participation or observation. No experience is necessary. Also, the Glazer Children’s Museum is free from 4 to 8 p.m. today courtesy of Target. Take the kiddies to the big splashy playhouse in downtown Tampa. The 53,000-square-foot, candy-colored wonderland for kids 10 and under features 170 interactive exhibits in an ergonomic, safety-minded facility, running the gamut from high-tech stimulation to simple pretend-play settings that engage the imagination -- where kids can fly an airplane replica with aerial views of Tampa Bay, operate a firetruck, shop at a pretend Publix, perform in a theater and much more. 110 W.
