If you’ve been plugged into the Bay area’s visual arts scene at all over the past few years, you’ve enjoyed the fruits of Kurt Piazza’s labor in some form or another — whether through his work as a curator (circa 2006) at the former Gulf Coast Museum of Art or in the many exhibitions organized by [5]art, of which Piazza was a key member during the group’s existence.
