You too can take part in the nerdy fun at the Independent Bar's free screening of Monty Python's Life of Brian, the next film in the bar's First Monday Movie Night.
The Seminole Heights beer-connoisseur haven will be screening the controversial and much beloved comedy for free from 8 to 11 p.m. tonight.
On its initial release in the UK, the film was banned by several town councils some of which had no cinemas within their boundaries, or had not even seen the film for themselves.
The 1979 British comedy film written, directed and largely performed by the Monty Python comedy team, tells the story of Brian Cohen (played by the late-great Graham Chapman), a young Jewish man who is born on the same day as, and next door to, Jesus Christ, and is subsequently mistaken for the Messiah.
