Barefoot-inclined San Francisco-based singer-songwriter Michael Franti has been spreading his message of peace and acceptance for as long as he’s been making music. Franti jumped from industrial punk to political hip-hop and eventually settled on a world rock and hip-hop sound with Spearhead in 1994. The sextet’s sixth album, All Rebel Rockers, was recorded in Jamaica with prolific reggae producers Sly and Robbie. The LP spawned the band’s career peak on the Billboard 200 and their first Billboard Hot 100 charting single, the buoyant love proclamation, “Say Hey (I Love You).” Weds., May 19, The Ritz Ybor, Ybor City, $28.50, theritzybor.com. —Matthew Spencer
