It's a bummer that a nasty downpour is interfering with the MLK festivities today, but don't fret — there are two really cool and fun indoor events to take the pain of the rain away.
No cancellations announced; let's keep our fingers crossed. In the meantime, for indoor fun, the Soul Roll Invitational Skate Jam Gospel Skate features all-you-can-eat pizza and soda and open skating to gospel hits. 6:30-9 p.m. United Skates of America, 5121 N Armenia Ave., Tampa. $7, $5 nonskating adult. 813-876-5826.
For those of you have the day off, today's the final day of MOSI's Festival of Chocolate, a unique, educational and interactive event for all the senses. Besides being able to taste and purchase almost every form of chocolate known to man, participants will also get to watch demonstrations by award-winning pastry chefs, browse the Chocolate Museum and learn about the history and production of this sweet treat, as well as witness the Best of Chocolate Indulgence Competition. A Kids-4-Chocolate workshop will let kids get creative (and provide a complimentary sugar high) with chocolate crafts, while the adults attend the chocolate and wine pairing sessions ($10). Guests are automatically entered in the Chocolate Decadence Raffle to win some of the gourmet chocolate creations from the featured vendors at the event. Entrance is complimentary with paid admission to MOSI. Fri.-Mon., Jan. 15-17; 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Fri. and Sat., 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Mon. 4801 E. Fowler Ave., Tampa, 813-987-6000, tampa.festivalofchocolate.com.
