Busy tonight? No? Head to the reception for Kym O’Donnell’s How the Ghost of You Clings, a hand-painted photographic homage to fairground, theater and graveyard ephemera. Don’t expect only photographs, though — the exhibit at the railside museum also has souvenirs altered in a similar manner. O’Donnell uses film — no SD cards here — and pinhole cameras, then processes prints in a darkroom, using a soon-to-be-forgotten skill set to place characters in the photos sans PhotoShop, using checmical washes and pre-Internet techniques to shadow the work after classic images from films we all know. Add to that the historic, intimate setting of Silver Meteor, and you’ve got yourself one hell of an experience. 7-11 p.m. at Silver Meteor Gallery, 2213 E. 6th Ave, Ybor City.
