From Downton Abbey to a wine-hawking Santa selling "Sexual Chocolate" to St. Pete DJ invasion, Thursday is eclectic (sung to the tune of "Electric Slide") …

The so-bad movie The Room has garnered such a following, it's become a cult shadowcast experience like Rocky Horror. The Independent in Tampa will be hosting Sexual Chocolate at the Indie — Wine Tasting & Toy Drive. Featured guest Brandon Allen, owner of Slo Down Wines, will appear as Santa and will be pouring three of his wines (Sexual Chocolate, Broken Dreams and Stand Out). He will also be available for photos (photo area will be set up). Whether he'll be wearing copious amounts of hair product like the "Sexual Chocolate" singer in Coming to America has not been confirmed. Thu., Dec. 11, 7 p.m., $10 toy donation.

St. Pete invades Tampa tonight. A Burg icon will be at the controls at Mermaid Tavern — DJ Mega. Hey says he will be playing everything from a Tribe Called Quest to Dead Milkman. "James Brown, The Runaways, David Bowie; maybe start off the night with some Portishead," he adds. "I'm really excited about eating all of the food too!"

If you really want to get your crumpet on, WEDU is hosting a free screening of the Downton Abbey season premiere and a VIP reception beforehand (just a few spaces left; purchase through WEDU), complete with themed entertainment, guest speakers, trivia, door prizes, photo booth, and silent auction. Most exciting news of all: Season 5 introduces new characters played by Richard E. Grant (Withnail and I) and Anna Chancellor (The Hour), two of the best and wittiest British actors around.
