Thursday night has a good many of us itching to get our weekend on early. If you need a good scratch, head to the Museum of Fine Arts, where inventive eye candy and well-dressed hobnobbers will rule the night at Fine Art, Fashion & Photography, Three Magical Worlds Collide, a visually decadent soiree on St. Pete’s scenic waterfront.
A group of local photographers, fashion and wearable art designers — plus a painter and florist — have selected one or two pieces from MFA's permanent collection to draw inspiration from and create their own works, and those pieces will be displayed next to the inspiration piece(s).
Lina Teixeira, winner of CL's "Best Runway Presentation at Wearable Art 9," is among the participating "fashion" designers (hers is more wearable art than actual fashion), along with local favorite/standout designer Sandra Hagen, and Bryan Leighty is returning as a photographer this year.
For other participants, check out the event's Facebook page. Leslie Joy Ickowitz contributed to this report.
