Do This: Humans of New York’s Brandon Stanton comes to town

While comparatively few internet addicts may know the name Brandon Stanton, nearly 14 million of them are familiar with his creation, the photo- and story-driven blog Humans of New York. A web staple for cultural obsessives for more than five years, HoNY is currently among the fastest-growing properties on Facebook, introducing more folks than ever to Stanton’s evocative and empathetic passion project focusing on random citizens of the Big Apple.

This week, he’s the featured speaker for USF’s University Lecture Series; Stanton will likely talk about how he went from trading bonds in Chicago to creating a niche media mini-empire with three books and countless readers to its credit.
