Ever wondered how 3D printing works?
Sarasota- based printer, Andrew Sink will be giving an hour-long presentation on the process of 3-D printing at the Venture compound on May 20. He will be talking about 3-D printing basics, practical knowledge for hobbyists, and much more. The talk will include live demonstrations and fun little gifts for all those who attend.
According to This Week in Sarasota Sink began working with 3D printers when he bought and built his first 3-D printing machine at the suggestion of his friends, who now run a 3-D printing business based in Virginia. Since then, he says he’s devoted his time to learning the ins and outs of the printer and perfecting the craft. He is mostly interested in creating fun little creatures, like owls and octopuses!
The talk will take place at The Venture Compound, 2621 Fairfield Ave. S., St. Petersburg, and it will start at 7 p.m. Admission is free. Learn more about the talk by visiting the Facebook event page.
