Want to put a little nip in your post-Christmas nog? Then head over to Studio@620 tonight for the Radio Theatre Project Live! Holiday Broadcast Special.
Performed by actors at mics, with sound effects produced by the ingenious Matt Cowley, each of the playlets takes a traditional holiday trope and gives it a twist — from suspiciously cheerful innkeepers to a noir-style Christmas redemption to Santa’s elves as disgruntled Teamsters. Plus, there’s the latest chapter in Paul Wilborn’s Continuing Adventures of Noel Berlin, Cabaret Detective, the satirical serial set in St. Pete. (Expect an appearance by a certain blow-haired blowhard rhymes-with-chump.)
[Disclosure: I’m a member of the RTP ensemble, and will be playing, among other things, a terminally distracted internet entrepreneur. They swear it's not typecasting.]
