If you're in the mood for an old-time tradition of puppetry — who isn't? — here's an art show that won’t string you along. Florida CraftArt Gallery introduces their exciting, new World by a String: Masters of Puppetry exhibit that features the Pellone/Barret Puppet Collection, as well as work from ten other contemporary Florida artists. The show takes you on an impressive global journey featuring more than 100 different puppets and masks from Europe and other far-flung, exotic places. A special highlight for the show is a puppet performance written and performed by Greg Pallone on a traditional, full-sized Punch and Judy Theater set. The exhibit will be shown June 26- Aug. 15 at the Florida CraftArt Gallery, and the opening reception is June 26 from 5:30-8:30 p.m., with a chance to meet the collector and artist Greg Pallone at 7 p.m. More info at floridacraftart.org/exhibitions/world-on-a-string-exhibition.
