Fans of the humorist author of classics like The Adventures of Tom Sawyer and Adventures of Huckleberry Finn will have the opportunity to talk Twain at Neptune Grill. The talk should go beyond those two books and perhaps delve into The Diaries of Adam and Eve, A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur’s Court and other fine works. If attendees feel particularly punchy, they can show up dressed in period costume (including the trademark white suit). William Faulker called Twain “the father of American literature” and while the literati say he created The Great American Novel, it doesn’t stop some schools from banning some of his work.
