This Friday, the Dunedin Fine Art Center unveils its summer of art with four new exhibitions: I + Thou, Souvenir, Michael Massaro: Fait Accompli and Triangulate.
This Friday night, artist Michael Massaro will join a panel discussion at the Dunedin Fine Art Center to talk about his exhibit, Fait Accompli. Massaro pursues art that allows him to mix materials in a manner that will create harmony or discord when you see them. His latest exhibit explores global refugees.
The other panelists, Kenny Jensen, Shannon Leah Halverson, Stephen Schatz, Jane Jaskevich and Mason Gehring, are also artists and they're all part of DFAC's group exhibition, I and Thou. This multimedia exhibit takes a look at identity, and the title comes from Martin Buber's writing about how people relate to themselves and the world at large. Buber wrote about I and Thou as "it" and "sacred encounter," respectively.
All exhibits run June 8-Aug. 12 | Dunedin Fine Art Center, 1143 Michigan Blvd., Dunedin | June 8: 6-7 p.m. | $10; free, DFAC members | 727-298-DFAC, dfac.org
