Current image: Two people dressed in food-themed costumes stand beside creative dog costumes—a small dog in a red “pupcorn” popcorn machine and another dressed as a taco—at Sparkman Wharf’s Halloween pet costume event.

Sparkman Wharf is trading its sunny waterfront vibe for something delightfully spooky this month, serving up a chillingly good time with a lineup of free Halloween events.

At Witchy Wellness on Monday, Oct. 13 from 6–9 p.m., guests can stretch out during candlelit yoga on the lawn and settle in for a screening of “Practical Magic.

Howl-O-Ween on Sunday, Oct. 19 is all about the pups. Furry friends can sniff out tricks and treats from 12-3 p.m. before prizes are awarded for the best-dressed dogs and human–dog duos. Registration opens at noon at The Modern Paws, and there’ll be plenty of treats for four-legged (and two-legged) participants.

The festivities wrap up on Wednesday, Oct. 29 from 5–9 p.m. with Movies on the Lawn, a family-friendly evening featuring trick-or-treating at local retailers, face painting, roaming entertainment, a live DJ, and a double feature of “Casper’s Halloween Special” and “Beetlejuice.”

All events are free and open to the public. For details, visit sparkmanwharf.com.
