Fairgrounds St.Pete is known for larger-than-life art installations, and next weekend that reputation continues when a giant shrimp-themed pop-up takes over the space.

โ€œShrimpfinityโ€ will make its debut on Friday, April 28 and  $27 general admission tickets can be purchased on the museum’s website.

Created by the Milagros Collective, the massive new installation will feature hand-painted designs, projected animations, a 6-foot-tall shrimp cocktail sculpture, a shrimp disco ball, and moreโ€”all set to an original soundtrack, according to a press release.
Founded in 2008 by Felici Asteinza, Joey Fillastre and collaborators, the New Orleans-based Milagros Collective is known for its โ€œsite-specific works that explore the history of place through striking arrangements of color and mark,โ€ according to its website.

Fairgrounds St. Pete, located at 2606 Fairfield Ave. S, is the Bayโ€™s leading immersive indoor and art technology museum, featuring installations like the Mermaid Star Motel, Strawberry Room, Lampscape, and Electric Sky Lounge. Guests can choose their own path throughout the museum and interact with different features throughout its many installations.
