Fellow cat people — you know who you are: Here’s a show with live felines (gasp!). And, no, this is not an April Fool's Joke!

The one-hour Amazing Acro-Cats show at Stageworks Theatre blesses us with more than a dozen orphans, rescues, and strays performing such stunts as walking tightropes, pushing carts, doing skateboarding tricks and more.

Trainer and chief human Samantha Martin says she has made it her life mission to challenge the notion that “cats can’t be trained.”

The show includes a cat named Alley, recently awarded a Guinness Book of World Records title for longest jump made by a cat.

Tuna, the leader of the The Rock Cats, purported to be the only cat band in existence, joins Oz on guitar, Dakota on drums, Nue on keyboards, and Sookie on chimes. Expect guest critters too: Cluck Norris, a chicken, plays cymbal and tambourine.

April 2-9, Thursdays-Sundays, various times; $20; 1120 E. Kennedy Blvd., Tampa. stageworkstheatre.org, circuscats.com.
