If you're up for the drive, Little Pond Farm's Spring Farm Day can introduce you to your next favorite CSA (community supported agriculture). The farm — five organic acres — has CSA memberships (this year is sold out but next year will be here before you know it), and you can select your organic veggies (or organic flowers) at the Saturday Morning Market in St. Petersburg.
The perfect time to get to know more about the Turner family is at the Spring Farm Day, which includes a walking tour led by the owners, as well as music, organic food, and a veggie and flower market. They'll also have plants for sale.
Bushnell's about a one-hour drive from Ybor City, too, so not so far. The day is kid-friendly but they ask that you leave your pups at home.
