Hey, Creative Loafers. I'll apologize up front for the abbreviated recap; other stuff going on and I'm actually becoming fond of sleep. But did I mention the Rays are in sole possession of first place in the American League East with the best record in the Majors? No? Well it's good that you know that now. A big thanks to the Toronto Blue Jays for taking care of the New York Yankees 8-2 tonight for the second game in a row.
The Tampa Bay Rays beat the Minnesota Twins Tuesday night at Tropicana Field, taking two out of two with two to go, this one by the score of 6-4. A beautiful home run by surprising hero B.J. Upton provided the margin of victory. His three-run shot, with one out in the bottom of the seventh inning, was his ninth long ball of the year. But Sean Rodriguez had a three-run homer of his own to start the game, lest I forget to thank Sea-Rod as well (pronounced like Shea stadium (yes, I know it looks like SEE-rod)).
