Downtown Gulfport channels “Saturday Night Live” energy for the 2024 theme to its annual Geckofest celebration, which honors the waterfront town’s unofficial mascot.

The day-long party spans about six blocks from Shore to Gulfport Boulevards, and includes five stages hosting live music, contexts, and more, plus roving street theater. It’s free to take part in the family-and-pet-friendly festivities.

There’s no cover for Geckofest 2024 happening Saturday, Aug. 31 in downtown Gulfport.
