Who doesn’t love a good see-ya-next-Monday, Friday-night sendoff for the week that was? The June 1 First Friday Art in the Heights is here for you, with everything from sinister Florida art to a mirrored gallery of glass and bumping with Devon Brady’s You Can’t Get There from Here. After that, take a few steps over to Disco Dolls for more art, this time less sinister but equally tropical work with Lauren Ireland’s Lux Naturalis (and some pretty kicky punch). The whole of Friday night subsumes several blocks in Seminole Heights, and it's a whole lot of fun to shop-hop.
Also part of the Friday-night fun: Phoenix Glass Studios has glassblowing demos and workshops, and — if you're so inclined — the Mermaid Tavern awaits at the end of your Friday adventure.
