SHINE Mural Festival announced who’s making St. Petersburg even more artsy this October. International artists from Australia and Germany are on the SHINE lineup along with Jamaican artist Taj Tenfold, whose range of influences span from Japanese manga to reggae.
St. Pete is represented thanks to 23 local participants joining four artists from around the U.S, including Morning Breath, a duo from Brooklyn that has previously worked with Jay-Z. Get the lowdown on the full lineup below, and see the artists in action around St. Petersburg from October 18-26.
INTERNATIONAL
Low Bros A German duo with a retro style from the ‘80s and ‘90s.
Paola Delfin Rooted in Mexico City, Paola places a huge emphasis on monochromatic views of the female form.
George Rose Melbourne-based Rose, who’s been trained in graphic design, is known for colorful and typography-based pieces.
Taj Tenfold This Jamaican artist has many influences for his art, including Japanese Manga, hip-hop, baroque paintings, and of course his own upbringing.
Shok-1 Londoner Shock-1 focuses mostly on the use of the spray can, a tool he has used to pioneer the “X-Ray technique,” which (as the name kind of gives away) has the artist show the internal skeleton and organs of an animal.

Morning Breath NYC-based duo and alumni of the first SHINE festiva has even done work for Jay-Z.
Blaine Fontana with Plastic Birdie Two Portland artists will collaborate on the first-ever mural funded by the National Oceanic & Atmospheric Association.
Drew Merritt Los Angeles artist known for pieces that evokes empathy from the viewer by showcasing flaws, be they physical, emotional, or otherwise.
Taylor White Inspired by the movements of the human body in dance, this Raleigh product uses many different colors in her work.

Jimmy Breen & Anthony Freese Co-owners of St. Pete creative agency Wax & Hive have also worked with rapper Cardi B and country singer Blake Shelton.
Vitale Bros Casita Taqueria’s logo creators are painting a mural highlighting the marine ecosystem and its importance to the community.
David Charlton Also known as “Top Hat Dave,” Charlton owns The Space Between gallery in St. Pete, which features his surrealist creations.
Leo Gomez Known for work with Starbucks and Publix, Gomez uses his talents to promote engagement and positive vibes.
Jay Hoff/Chad Mize With a focus on Come Out St. Pete, Hoff and Mize’s LEGO-based mural will be created by not only the artists, but also local LGBTQ+ youth.
Palehorse SHINE founder who’s worked with several big-name companies like Under Armor, WWE, and Hasbro. His luchador stuff is legendary.
Reda3sb A Mexican self-taught graffiti artist out of Gulfport, Reda3sb focuses on his own cultural history while incorporating aspects of fine art into his work.
Princess Smith University of Tampa grad Princess Smith creates very thought-provoking work that is inspired by her youth spent in a rough part of L.A.
