Tufts assistant professor Kareem Khubchandani teaches Women’s Gender and Sexuality Studies and is interested in dance studies, queer nightlife, South Asian diaspora, global queer politics, performance ethnography and critical race studies.

At the University of Tampa, his honors symposium presentation of “In Search Of A Drag Queen” will shed light on the experiences of South Asian immigrant gay men who liberate themselves in nightclubs with an accented dance called “ishtyle.”
