Set beneath an arched clear poly-film dome with white shade cloth accents, the ground is covered in black landscape fabric with a central pathway. Along the left and right sides, vertical growing racks, PVC piping, IBC tote tanks, and raised hydroponic plant beds are cultivated with green crops, illuminated by natural sunlight filtering through the frame.

Located 22 miles north of downtown Tampa, Rosebud Continuum in Land O’Lakes is a slice of natural Florida and a welcome break from the concrete that dominates city living.

Sharing seeds is one of the nonprofit’s love languages, and it’ll be on display for this swap and market where books and plants will get passed around, too.

“Don’t have anything to swap, no worries, we have plenty to share and you are welcome to just come and take!,” organizers wrote on Creative Loafing’s event calendar.

For those who can’t make it out to the 14-acre property, Rosebud offers volunteer Saturdays through Oct. 17 (Sept. 26 is a non-volunteer day).

There’s no cover for the seed, plant, and book swap happening at Rosebud Continuum in Land O’ Lakes on Saturday, Aug. 22.
