To look at the standings, Tuesday's game between the Tampa Bay Lightning and the Philadelphia Flyers was a match up of the two best teams in the Eastern Conference. To look at the on-ice product, the game lived up to the hype. In one of the most exciting and intense games of the season, the Lightning fell to the Flyers in a shootout, 4-3. The news was not all bad for the Bolts though, as they gained an important point, putting them six points ahead of the idle Washington Capitals.

"I thought we played a really solid game," Lightning forward Steven Stamkos said. "We didn't deserve to lose that game and neither did they. We got seven out of a possible eight points against that team all year, so we are definitely proud of that, playing one of the best teams in the league."
