If you've recently driven through downtown Tampa at night and and oohed and ahed at cool, multicolor light and video displays on buildings and sidewalks, you weren't alone in your amazement.
The Americans for Arts foundation, a non-profit organization based in New York and Washington, D.C., also took notice and named Lights on Tampa to its 50 most exemplary programs in the past 50 years.
Lights on Tampa was chosen in an extensive nationwide survey.
