Emily Marsh (R) who appears in the ‘Mystery Science Theater 3000 LIVE: Time Bubble Tour’ coming to David A. Straz Center for the Performing Arts in Tampa, Florida on Jan. 29, 2021.

A Joel Hodgson-less, live version of Mystery Science Theater 3000 is making its way to downtown Tampa next year.

Tickets to see the “Mystery Science Theater 3000 LIVE: Time Bubble Tour” at David A. Straz Center’s Ferguson Hall on Saturday, Jan. 29, 2022 are on sale now and start at $39.50.

It’s worth noting that none of the human characters from the show itself will be onstage. Everyone’s favorite snarky robot duo, Tom Servo and Crow will be present, though—as well as GPC (formerly “Gypsy”), who will most likely appear during host segments in between the film to be shown and riffed on: 1985’s “Making Contact.” In Joel’s place will be Emily Marsh, who only recently joined the MST3K team, mainly for tours and live stream events.

The good news is that MST3K is not only being celebrated for nostalgia and old times on this tour. Following two Kickstarter-fueled seasons on Netflix in 2017 and 2018—featuring a new cast of Jonah Ray, Felicia Day, and Patton Oswalt, another 12 episodes are now in the works, thanks to the $5.5 million raised by fans back in May.
