What’s poppin’ Logang?
YouTuber-turned-professional boxer Logan Paul signed an official contract with the WWE this morning and is now slated to appear at Tampa’s live show next month.
Paul will deliver a “special appearance” at Monday Night Raw at Amalie Arena on July 18 at 7:30 p.m., according to the arena’s Twitter account and updated website event listing. Tickets start at $20. Following their WrestleMania victory against the duo of WWE legend Rey Mysterio and son Dominick, Paul was betrayed by his partner The Miz as he was unexpectedly hit with his signature finishing move, “Skull Crushing Finale.” The Miz will also appear at Amalie’s July 18 event, so expect a trash-talk-filled collision between the two hotheads.
But WrestleMania wasn’t Paul’s first time centerstage, as he’s faced off in two internet-shattering boxing fights with fellow YouTuber KSI and more recently fought in a multi-million dollar exhibition match against arguably the greatest boxer of all time, Floyd Mayweather, last year. Outside the ring, Paul’s career has been a roller coaster of sorts. He originally got his start on Vine making viral clips, then transferred his masses of fans to daily YouTube vlogs, founded his self-proclaimed No. 1 podcast in the world, “Impaulsive,” dedicated a few years to his professional boxing career and is now maturing into a businessman with the recent launch of his hydration drink company, PRIMEโwhom he co-founded with now-friend KSI.
Paul’s controversially-entertaining younger brother, Jake, sold out Amalie Arena in just December of last year for his professional boxing match in which he knocked out former UFC champion Tyron Woodley and was awarded ESPN Ringside’s “K.O. of the Year.”
This will be Tampa’s first Monday Night Raw in over three years and will feature a double main event: Riddle vs. Seth Rollins and women’s championship Becky Lynch vs. Bianca Belair.
