We love us some interns over here. They help us with Local, writing and editing, contributing to our kick-ass new podcast (speaking of, you should subscribe)… they do pretty much everything but get coffee (WTF is up with that, anyway, interns?). They're unpaid, they toil thanklessly (well, we do say thank you), and they're fun to have around the office. Here's what you need to know about our awesome crop of interns.

Lis Casanova

Lis is Aa senior at USF St. Petersburg majoring in English with a concentration in Writing Studies and minoring in Spanish Language and Culture. At The Crow's Nest, USF St. Petersburg's weekly student newspaper, Lis works as a copy-editor, contributor, columnist and online/social media manager. 

Pending her graduation in December, Lis hopes to enter the field of news media or publishing as a copy editor. Lis enjoys spending her leisure time with family, her boyfriend or her pit-lab mix rewatching old Netflix favorites or reading a book.

LJ Hilberath

An alumni of Florida State University, LJ majored in Editing, Writing and Media while minoring in Communications. At Man of the Hour magazine, he worked as Music Editor, publishing multiple weekly/monthly columns on all things music. During his senior year at FSU, he began working as a freelancer for Creative Loafing, covering an array of live shows and festivals and now currently serves as an intern in CL's Music section. He is often referred to as "the boy" or "the Aryan" around the office.

Alexandria Jones

A graduate student at USF St. Petersburg, Alexandria's dream is to become a popular food writer and photographer. She's obsessed with watching the Cooking Channel, Food Network and Tampa food scene (she's tried almost everything there is to offer, after all). Madison Dudley

A Florida State University senior majoring in editing, writing, and media with a minor in communications, Madison enjoys concerts, movies, theater, traveling, food, the company of dogs and spending time with family and friends.
